Fiscon - any phone geniuses out there?

I just had a Fiscon bluetooth put in my car and everything works well, but whenever I go to Phonebook, which comes up on the Multi Function Display between the rev counter and speedo, I would have two listings of my phone number contacts. I assumed (yes, I know you should never assume!) this was because the Fiscon was reading both the phone's memory list of my contacts and the sim card's list of contacts, which was a pain because I would have to scroll through twice as many numbers to get to the one I wanted. I assumed that the Fiscon was reading both as one list was like the phone memory list and the other was like the sim's memory list, which was different for some of my listings due to previous phones that I had used.

So, as an experiment, I decided to trim it down so that I would only have the one list and deleted my phone's list of numbers, keeping the sim card's list in tact. Unfortunately, this didn't work and now no list comes up at all and I have the message of "Empty List" on the MFD, so it is not reading my sim card list either (if it ever did in the first place). So, I copied the sim card list of numbers back to the phone list and still nothing comes up on the MFD, which is quite weird as it looks the same on my phone as it did before I deleted them.

Are there any phone/fiscon bluetooth geniuses out there that can help as to why I would initially have two lists come up on the MFD to start with and now why I do not get any list at all? What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance.
