Thanks. I was aware of all this but mine will only go up and down in 10k increments to the nearest multiple of 10. If I'm on 106 and flick the lever down it drops to 100. If I push the button it drops 1 k per push (and goes up 1 k if I pull the stalk).

Yes, the brake lights do come on whenever the car applies the brakes itself, but not just when it reduces power output.

On ours if you hold the lever up or down it increases/decreases the speed in 1km/h steps - then you release the lever when you have reached the desired (cruise control) speed.

I'm impressed then that my 205,000kms '07 Tdi 103kw gives me 6.1 on a long country trip. Not bad for an olden (but good 'un).
My Superchips chip probably helps a bit though.

Can honestly say there is very little, if anything I dislike on this car. Possibly some minor changes, but unlike my previous cars nothing that bothers me greatly.

Though I did notice towards the end of our trip the adaptive cruise seemed to struggle to stay as consistent as it had been on the trip. By this I mean if set to 118kmh/r it would hold it regardless up or downhill and very rarely if ever deviate off 118kmh/r, but in the final 50km home on a relatively flat freeway it was fluctuating between 116-120kmh/r and seemed unable to hold the set speed.
