The dealer deliberately put them low as they knew I had personal plates coming so they didn't want to put holes that may not be covered by the new plate.
Good thinking in my book and shows a dealer who cares

The moreI drive this car the more I like it.
My daughters had voiced concerns to their husbands that Dad had bought a Nannas car.
After seeing it on the weekend they're now fighting over who buys it at the end of the lease.
One of those daughters has now forgiven me for not buying the HSV

congrats on the purchase - haven't seen many CW sedans (not in Melbourne at least anyway - they all tend to be wagons) - looks the goods!

Until I went to pick up my car I'd never seen a CW R36 sedan.
The blue looks fantastic and I was close to ordering it but I wanted something a little different.
CW may not be the "hero" colour but it does look classy

Oh and another point for those considering a Adaptive Chassis Control R36
Having now driven a std R36 and my car I can confirm that set to Sport my car feels pure R36...no sofening of the dampers and swaybars compared to stock.
The normal and comfort settings just add more dimensions to the ability of the car.
Normal seems to be a great compromise but I do love the sport setting when the roads are smooth

    Cool

Congrats R34 that looks very nice in white (actually don't know if its the photos but probably the nicest R36 I have seen!)

I agree with your comments about adaptive chassis control, though I have the 3.6 Passat CC which is a slightly different car. However, I love the ability to control handling on the fly.

BTW, I had to laugh at your comments about your daughter's thinking the R36 is a nanna's car. You are one cool dude with the new R36!

My wife thought the same thing when I said to her that I had decided on a Passat - the only ones she had seen were gold coloured ones driven by 80 year olds fumbling around Southland looking for a carpark. Then she had a go of the R36 and decided it definately wasnt a Grandpa car!

How much dust do these brakes leave

Tried out the stereo running off the ipod...awesome sound. Can't imagine why I'd bother with DynAudio so I'm glad I took the dealers advice

It's one of the side affects of having awesome stopping power. I remove the wheels and completely clean them then wax them... That helps.

Hahahaha! I COMPLETELY agree with you on that one but careful saying stuff like that around the lads with the Dynaudio option. They're forever singing its praises and justifying the huge expense for it. If you want to spend that much on sound, there are much better after market options imo.

Dirty wheels, yea the plague of modern cars lol.

The stock oem stereos in the Passats/CC are pretty awesome but I wouldn't write off the DynAudio.

I love my music and am glad I picked the Dynaudio on my car. I recently compared a non-Dynaudio equipped CC (loan car whilst getting an oil change) with my own Dynaudio equipped car.

I agree that the stock unit sounds quite nice and is more than adequate for radio listening. It sounded nice with FM music too.

However, at mid to higher levels, I could definitely perceive that the stocker sounded muddier than my DynAudio which is incredibly crisp even at very high levels. The DynAudio feels like it cranks about twice as loud too (not that you would want to do that!) Bass is very impressive in the stocker, but it is noticeably better in the DynAudio yet again!

In short, I felt that the DynAudio is cleaner, crisper, louder and er, more dynamic. Sorry, but its the audiophile's choice!
