    see i am a fan of the new dials as well. the red was to audi looking i thought (even if everything looks like it was ripped out of one).

    agree i'm over the red- want a white upgrade
    had a passat tdi. now mb c class.

    I like it.
    Saw the 08 one this afternoon and didn't mind that one either. The 09 one appears easier to read though.

    Back to topic. Took car in for recall. They looked at the stereo and said it had dropped the codes. Ther redid the codes and all seemed fine for a day.

    This morning I get in the car and the same problem again. I took it back and they swapped over for another (used) head unit, with no mp3, in about 5 minutes for me to try.

    If it works all okay over the weekend they'll replace the head unit with a new one. I'm guessing it might be the newer model but not sure.

    The inconsistant quality issues continue.

    Most of the motoring journos agree that VW quality is a bit of a hit and miss affair.
