    Farewell R36...

I sold mine today with just under 32k km. What a bittersweet day. I'll miss it, but now have time to think about what's next.

    Smaller. Perhaps a Golf R or S3.

Saw it's been listed for a while. Did you get a good price for it? Definitely one of the best kept on the market! Congrats anyway!

Thanks R36. I did ok. Not too far from where it was listed. Did get heaps of lowball offers though. First serious buyer bought it.

That's a gorgeous R36. They look great in white and that looks clean as.

I can thoroughly recommend an A45 as a replacement

I'm not looking forward to selling my R36 and that won't be for a couple of years - hopefully it'll be traded for a B8 version, if such a thing is ever made.

Ha! I was one of the guys that was trying to low-ball you... sorry man, just have a budget to work within, but you were right, those are some serious low ks... at least I didn't actually offer you a low price, I just asked how negotiable you were .. glad you sold it and got a reasonable price for it too.

I ended up buying something (am still in the process) with almost three times as many kms but for 10k less...

Glad to hear that you found the right car for you Felix.

The funniest low-ball was the guy who was serious with his offer of $25k. We also of course had the Nigerian mine worker without phone but with credit card who was purchasing for his newly graduated son...

For those with a good R36 to sell but not in a rush, there are buyers who will pay well above "book value". I took my time and found one.

I actually paid $25K for mine =) But it's a 2008 with 70K km - it came with all extras except for Dynaudio (now retrofitted) and is in quite good condition too. No way I'd sell it for $25K unless I was desperate for $$.

Your 2010 does seem much nicer and worth well over $25K.

I was also looking when yours was listed, in the end I preferred another one very similar higher spec but more km's for a steal under 35k, but I hardballed the seller and he had a timing issue on his end to persuade him. I wouldn't sell it for the same amount I bought it for, that's for sure. 25k is a hugely unreasonable offer, to say the least! Was the guy actually serious or just screwing you about?
