I read that the 6 speed DSG is rated at 350NM max torque input. Seeing that thats what the 3.6 develops already, how are the transmissions coping with the extra torque developed by a "chiped" engine?
Has anyone used these guys??

They claim to increase power by over 20kw at all four wheels and adds another 50Nm of torque. Figures seem a bit high. Not bad for $1495.00.

I had an 06 Golf GTi and it was running 440nm torque through the DSG 6 speed and never missed a beat.
Still doesn't as I am in contact regularly with its current owner as well.
The tunes evolve and dwtuning are not going to push torque anywhere near the limits of the 6 speed in the R36
Thats right actually oz, the limits of the transmission will be found with a big delta torque or rapid change in torque that you normally find with seriously turbocharged engines. From our experience the DSG has good 'absorbtion' capability providing you arent overheating it with a sudden big hit of power or torque across a narrow rev window.....same as the clutch in a conventional manual car
Martin is referring to my R36 and so far have been very happy with the outcome.
