I hear of plenty of DSG's going kaput in GTI Golfs / Jettas etc but has anyone had the DSG go kaput on their B6 Passat ?

The tranny cooler leaked on mine so the DSG ended up full of water on my 09 R36 with 30+ k on the clock. After a lot of mucking around with VW warranty including them basically accusing me of modifying the car and telling me that they would not cover the repairs under warranty, and them telling the dealer to try the same fix twice, both times with no success, they replaced the transmission.

My brothers '06 Jetta - Started playing up and getting jolty at 90,000 km's. Getting it checked next week.
My mates 2008 B6 - Started playing up in '09. VW still wont fix it.
My 2008 Eos - 54,000 km's and still no problem at all.

This is the only time i have condemned a DSG, cooler had been leaking but had loads of telltale signs that had been missed and could have been saved , i got to see it when it was way too late. Shame
Havent had any Passat customers complaining of their DSG, in fact i have a couple of Golfs that have over 200ks that have been trouble free, remember you will read all the bad stuff online, in the scheme with the amount thats on the road they arent doing to bad.
