    Door out of alignment

Just got my car back from the panel beater. Had a very small pin dent taken out. I noticed the door latch makes an odd clicking noise as you shut it and open it. After taking a closer look I can see the door isn't correctly aligned. It's the rear passenger side and if you run your hand along the side of the car from front to back your hand hits the rear panel. So in other words the door isn't aligned with the rear panel. The rear panel sticks out further. It's a major pain for me to take it back to them to have a look at, is this something that I can adjust myself? I have no idea why they had to take the door off just for a pin dent.

I am surprised that they would have had to take the door off to fix a dent. Did it need repainting? These dent professionals are so good these days that it is impossible to tell if there was a dent there previously if there is no damaged paint.

Have a look at the mounting bolts and see if they have paint chipped off them as this would indicate that they have used a spanner or socket on them to remove the door.

No it was the tiniest pin dent, the size of a pea and not deep. You could barely notice it. I'm not sure what they did to it. I've got it booked in for Monday, but would prefer to fix it myself, if at all possible. It may just be an issue with the catch, not sure.
