Thanks everyone for posting your experience and comments.

I got a quote from the local BMW accredited repair (Klosters) and was quoted $390/ -all included (repair+metallic paint) for the whole bonnet.

@slotmachine: I'll comment on their service after I've got it fixed. Cheers.

Seems like a damn good price. I should imagine at that price they will repair the bonnet rather than give you a new one.

Just got back my car from Klosters Bodyworks.

    Outcome - Very impressed!

For $390/, I got the repair on the bonnet, icelandic grey metallic paint finish and a FULL DETAIL!! Inside & out (though was delayed overnight, they happily found a spare car for me to use)...very impressed! Saved me some $$ in wanting to do a detail in Jun. Pic of result to be uploaded tonight.

Saw a couple of Z4 there in for detail i guess.I should have asked how much it cost to detail.

    Anyway, leaving a happy man!

Wow! That's amazing..so i suppose the entire bonnet has a fresh new coat of paint? Does it blend well with the front guards as well?

yes it did. Couldn't see a fault. I would say they are good at it. The thing that really impressed me was they detailed the whole car inside out for me. Now thats what I all customer service

You'd spend half the amount of the repair as you would for a detail! Not bad at all!
