To be honest, i think the stock suspension is the best setup for the .:R models.

I don't think anyone has changed to coilovers.

The .:R models aren't about getting low and "looking baller"
You should have gone the CC or a normal passat if you were after that imho.

The .:R models are about raw NA power and using it.
Hence the suspension set up that allows power to be utilised most effectively.

You can try the H&R coilovers or the Bilstein PSS9. Quite a few brands you can look at. KW Variants are not too bad too.

I would look at DMS (Drummond Motorsport) coilovers. We sell them along with Bilstein etc but have had the best results with DMS. They are designed for Australian conditions and the 50mm range is brilliant for daily driving, weekend run and track work.

I have DMS 50mm in my Evo IX - I use it mainly on the track but I do still drive it to and from track days and to work every now and then.
They are excellent! A much nicer ride than the std Bilsteins that came in the car actually despite having harder spring rates.
    $4300 for Evo IX ones.
