About to fit a child seat in the back of the R36.

What are people using to protect the seat from child seat?

Just towels or fitting up something else?

I got a pet cover from RACV store. it covers the entire back seat (with slots for seat belts) with a canvas like material (black). It has a qip to allow the 60/40 split fold down. I had this under the seat along with a bit of carpet under the base to stop it marking up the seats to badly.

My child seat came with a foam/sueade go-between so I just use that.
So far no marks on the rear seat itself. Can't say the same for the rear of the passenger side headrest. My daughter loves putting her dirty shoes up there.

i have the foam suede matt for the littlest one as it came with the seat, but the 2 year old's seat didn't come with one, so i bought a black bath towel and have this under his seat, it extends form the headrest, and wraps down over the seat, so in effect all of the leather is covered....worked a treat when i didn't take his protestations of feeling unwell seriously ...

when the new baby is sitting upright, i will be getting another towel, as the suede mat, would not have been big enough to catch everything....

i second that....except i have a three year old. So the training there is no shoes on in dady's car and no kicking the seat in front! after 8 weeks working well and no marks or damage...except for a 3 year old developing some kind of complex i am sure.

You are wise '111' and this is why my wifes 2 year old Astra looks very second hand and reasonably trashed (to be fair, wife does most of it)!!! Daughter can do what ever she wants in mummies car....

Yep, kids will be kids but they need to know theres a time an place for everything. I am sick of hearing parents let their kids act like they feel and make excuses about poor behaviour. Kids need to be taught right and wrong and respect for other peoples property.

Spot on! I cringe when I see bashed up cars park near me and the inside looks like a tip and when you see the family you can see why the car is the way it is.
