Can some one explain this for me

I`m trying to add OPS to my b6, I have purchase the following -

VW Passat B6 Optical Parking System OPS 56D 919 475 A-in Parking Assistance from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com

    Instructions say-

The new PDC controller doesn't connect to the comfort CANBUS network but instead the drive CANBUS network. If you have bi-xenons installed the controller for this can be used to connect into the CANBUS network otherwise you need to use the CAN gateway.

Remove the three connectors from the PDC unit (located near the drivers side of the car behind the rear wheel inside)

The brown plug (T16) with a orange/brown cable on pin 7 and orange/purple cable on pin 14 needs to have the outer housing removed by lifting the clip on the end and sliding the black connector out. Pin 7 and 14 are connected to the Comfort CANBUS network.

Remove pins 3, 7 and 14 as these are no longer required and ensure they are individually protected again short circuit with heatshrink tubing or electrical tape.

    Connect the can bus cabling.

CAN High goes to T16 Pin 6
CAN Low goes to T16 Pin 15

    Connecting the CANBUS network.

On the bi-xenon connector (T-26) Pin 2 is CAN High (orange/purple) and Pin 3 is CAN Low (orange/brown)

On the CAN gate connector (T-20e) Pin 16 is CAN High and Pin 6 is CAN Low.

Remove the connector (blue) from the CAN Gateway and remove pin 2.

The old PDC was at address 76 and the new one OPS is address 10.

Now I`m very unfirmilua with the passats wiring, I have no idea where the bi-xenon head light connector is. Was hoping someone to interperate the instructions for me and translate it to something I can understand. Yes I do have bi-xenons.

So is this the plug that plugs into the back of the headlight? If so what side?

Can't say for sure mate as I don't have a car here to look at. Basically just have a look at both sides and see if you can spot the orange/purple and orange/brown wires, these are always can wires so if you spot them, then you are into your drivetrain can. Realistically you should be able to tap into the can connector down near the left hand front headlight, under the airbox. This connector goes down to your steering rack so still is part of the drivetrain can.

The T16 connector from the instructions appears to be for the PDC control unit. The Can connector appears to be a T20 connector. Again, that's only going off their instructions. Best to go to an autoelec or call someone out if you can't figure out the CAN wiring mate, as screwing up the drivetrain CAN will leave you stranded. Where abouts in Vic are you?

you need to connect new pdc controller to bi xenon levelling controller.. i don't know where it is in the passat however it was behind the panel opposite side from driver fuse box. i tapped into those wires and ran a can bus repair wire to the pdc controller..

alternatively, you can connect these wires to the can gateway which should be behind the dash somewhere. you also might need to rewire the + and ground wiring but not sure on passat version of old gateway versus new.

be best if you got yourself a copy of elsawin and reviewed the diagrams before doing anything. you really don't want to create any issues on your can network.
