Calltex Diesel and 2.0 TDI - best additive?

    Hi,

Just occurred to me to ask: logistically it will very likely turn out that our most common fueling stop is at the Caltex petrol station near our train stop to work. Would have preferred to go for BP D. Ult. but there's none around.

Any recommendations on whether Caltex Diesel warrants additives and if so, which one and how often? Every filling? Every n-th filling? Only when I notice issues, like smoky exhaust?

I hope to at least occasionally take a detour to the next BP station, but it won't be regularly.

    Comments? Advice?

Hi I think you are in the wrong sub forum, but that is up to the mods

Look at this thread, Caltex Vortex diesel seems to be well liked. It is what I use in my 125TDI and I have had no problems.
