    Brakepad wear indicators

    Just a quick one to see if anyone knows whether an MY08 passat has brake pad wear indicator function

    Have a look at the left front brake caliper. There should be wiring coming out from it, and up past the strut.

    Ah thanks, that's a good idea, sensor would have wiring

    I just asked as it is low and service guy said 3-5000k left and I wanted to wait but didn't want to determine pad life by just looking.

    Given their appetite for pads and rotors, I'd suggest getting it sorted as soon as you can.

    Yeah I am looking at getting both from ecstuning as the dealer quoted 1000 for front rotor + pad.
