i had ferodo ds-2500's on my last car....they are dusty mofos....these oem ones are fine in comparison...:eek:
Have been working with/on german cars for years and they all have brake dust.....but good brakes.:bowdown:
Europeans love soft brake pads, which cover everything in dust. I've had a 2 Barinas, 2 Golfs, my Passat, and seen my old man's old Merc C210CDI, my brother's 307, and his brother-in-law's 308, and they all have had brake dust coating the wheels.
On my Barinas, I changed them at the first change to Bendix, which solved the dust problem and didn't upset the braking re fade etc for my driving style.
With the Passat, I'll just keep them OEM (maintained under a lease) and get out there with the Meguiars wheel cleaner every now and again. One good thing is that at least the dust is usually fairly easy to get off (not like train brake dust, cast iron or composite stuff which usually needs a wire brush to clean off).

Sadly, its only available for Masonary use at present, will not work on Wood or Metal.
