The guy said he wanted a BOV, and I showed him where to get one as well as other parts for his car. If you don't like what he wants to do to his car, then fair enough, just don't tell him where to spend his money. There is nothing Ricer about BOV's. If he wants one, let him get it.
I have a number of Forge products on my car, including a BOV, and I am very happy with them.

There is nothing wrong with brand name japanese performance parts most are built with quaility second to none. If you think Chinese products are the same as Japanese products then you have no idea.

Just by adding a BOV doesn't make it rice maybe a full under car neon kit would.

Buying over priced aftermarket parts for a VW doesn't need to be expensive just because it is a euro brand it is people presuming that unless it costs them alot of $$$ all other parts are inferior and will keep prices high. Why spend more money on X brand when Y brand does the same thing and looks just as good.

You might laugh, but I've seen a number of posts from different people who want to do exactly that, and some of them still want it even after you explain how it will reduce performance and increase fuel consumption (and basically be a totally dumb idea).

I've just about given up, maybe next time I will tell them to get an electronic device that makes the "psshhht" noise that they are after, at least that way they won't be interfering with how their engine was designed to work
