Hi all,
Thought I would ask here first before checking back with the dealer about the "blacked out" rear passenger and rear windows and sunroof. I understand that this is actually part of the glass, but does it filter UV rays?
My dad recently purchased a Lexus RX450h which also had the rear passenger and rear window "blacked out" and during the purchase discovered that this does not actually filter out UV rays.
I've already had the front passenger windows properly tinted, but now I think I need the other windows done too.
Any thoughts?
Cheers
When I went to have the fronts tinted on my previous car (Liberty 3.0R Spec B), the installer told me that the rear privacy glass did not offer UV protection. Did not know whether or not he was telling the truth, but it was only a small amount extra to have the clear UV film put on the rear windows, so went ahead with it anyway.
