    battery

    I plan 5 weeks holiday. Will battery work on my passst 2009 tdi after holiday? I heard stories thst people could not opened door because battery was flat..
    Any recommendation?
    P.s i was thinking left car without alarm on in my garage...

    I left my 2011 Passat TDi for 8 weeks and it started first time without any trouble Was only a year old though

    If the battery was flat, wouldn't you simply use the key if you wished to gain entry to the vehicle?

    I've been away for extended periods, last year 5 weeks, with no issues. Battery is 2007 build.

    Make sure you lock the car as there is less power drain when locked

    My only concern is: how open the door if battery flat...

    How come less power? No make sense...
