    Back tail lights

Quick question, I am looking at buying a replacement, left hand tail light for my 2007, sedan, have found a good second hand one, but it is off a wagon, will it fit my sedan, it looks the same, but have been unable to find part numbers on the net to prove if they are?

Also, the "Mount for the warning triangle, # 3C5 860 285" OEM part number, is there any where I can buy one for a reasonable pricein Australia, OEM sells them around $15 US dollars, but want $40 to post?

I would also be interested to know if the sedan and wagon lights are interchangeable.
3 or 4 of the brake and indicator LEDs are blown on my drivers side tail lamp. VW has said these cannot be replaced and that a new tail light unit is required. How ridiculous

I am fairly sure they are not compatible, the wagon ones(just looked at mine) are quite rounded on their appearance where they wrap around the side of the car whereas the sedan ones are relatively flat, then curve around. I could be wrong though.

Back tail lights, not to be confused with the Front tail lights.

Could be! My Passat is black. It's an 06 model so one of the first built. 5-6 years out of factory LEDs is quite poor performance really. It's got me wondering though if the passenger side tail lamp will go in the next 12 months also.
Seems like a good excuse to upgrade to these HELLA R36 lamps as a set can be had for around $400. Has anyone bought and fitted these off eBay? Plenty on German eBay too, I wonder if they are plugn play or if VAGCOM input is required. Anyone know?

    Update

Type in a search on the OEM website for sedan and wagon back tail lights, came up with different part numbers, so I say, as most have so for, they are different shape tail lights and not interchangeable.
