    B7 my12 passat 125 tdi question

    Hi GUys,

Im new to this forum. I just ordered myself a MY12 Passat 125TDI with a few bells and whistles after realising the R6 VW Polo is small for daily use.

As I was surfing youtube I noticed someone in Europe whom has a rear DVD monitor on the headrest.
Can anyone tell me if this can be ordered through VW or is it an aftermarket install?? or has anyone done this on their B7 Passat since the headrest of the Passat looks like it has 2 parts to it.

haven't seen it myself, but sure looks like it's made for it. The headrests move forwards and backwards as well as up and down - hence the the 2 parts.

Nice: just bought the wagon version myself (wife wanted the wagon I wanted the sedan: wife won....sigh...). Had clocked about 3000km on it in 3 weeks and so far well impressed except for ...the bloody wipers. They shudder all over the place after a week or so. Have taken them off and on but will have to take back to the dealer for adjustment when I get time. So if yours start shuddering...don't worry you aren't alone.

As for highway cruising...superb mate: just superb. Economy is incredible - its not run in yet but already have 5.4 on the trip to and from Canberra at 115km/hr.

Certainly not built for punting: in stock form on 17's (as mine is) body roll is a shocker. But then again I didn't buy it to go around corners quickly...

    Enjoy - great car.

Cool..lucky you gots yours already..I have a long wait till I get mine. ETA May 2012. I ordered mine with Bixenons, Sports Pack, Park assist 2 and Active Cruise control.
Your wiper problem is a VW design issue and not isolated to only Passat. My old 6R Polo has the same issue even when its used in the rain for both front and rear wipers. I've returned it to dealer but issues keeps coming back. YOu might need to wipe the blade ones in a while.

Don't know if it is an option for Europe, but not on the options list for Australia. I think it would be cheaper to strap on a couple of iPads, like this from BMW:
