The new ones on ECS are later versions of the one I need... not too sure if that one will work.

Which version do you need? I thought they were all interchangeable?

BTW - searching ebay.de for the part number helps (3c0035456) - just be careful not to buy the same amp you already have (with black sides).

The part number you are looking for is the above ending in either C or H. I installed the latter in my R36 and is a big improvenent on the standard amp. Only issue is I get some clipping from the speakers at really high volumes which doesn't bother me as I never go there. Bought it for about $350 on ebay but was searching for about 6 months as not willing to pay over $800

    Thanks R36 DSG!

Was it a simple plug'n'play replacement?
    - unplug & unscrew old amp
    - screw & plug in Dynaudio amp
    - ?re-code in VCDS?

Was plug and play and from memory worked without any coding although I did code it to bring up the dynaudio logo on start up

Awesome - thanks! Time to go shopping.

I've seen some 'A' versions available which are the "Lear" model. There are also brand new 'J', 'P' etc versions available from various distributors.
Do you know if these models work too, or is it just the 'C' and 'H' versions?

EDIT: the 'J' model is also a Lear brand and proved to be plug and play along with all 10 speakers on my 2008 R36.

.. I'm fairly sure that the 'D', 'G' and 'K' varieties are standard 250W amps (lots of these going cheap on ebay).

BTW - VW Parts2Go had some on special for <$800, but don't ship to Australia =(

Not sure about those versions but I believe the C & H are also Lear. One thing to look out for though is avoid the amps starting with 3C8 as these are for the Passat CC and will come up with errors and stop working after a while (I have had first hand experience with that!).

Just ordered a 3C0035456-J amp along with the 10 speaker system (from a 2010 R36). It should arrive within the next couple of days or so - will keep this thread posted.

I was looking into using an Eos system (usually ~$1000 on ebay.de) as it seems to be from the same "Confidence" package spec - though I couldn't figure out if the speakers and/or amp would be compatible: VWVortex.com - DYNAUDIO info site from Volkswagen AG for future/current owners .

Luckily, I was able to track down a Passat system =)
