B6 TDI Passat Wagon battery drain Issue
Guys,
Thought i would ask a question on behalf of my sister who is overseas at the moment. She has a 2006 (i think) B6 TDI passat wagon. For some strange reason, it has developed a slow battery drain. Her husband, who is around cars for his work, has checked all of the fuses and they all check out ok. They got a new battery installed but it is still draining. While they are overseas, they have left a solar trickle charger in the front window, but seeing as though they have left it at my place, i also thought that i would start it every couple of days. When i did start it on sunday, i did notice that the orange engine light was on, although it seemed to start and sound fine.
Any smart savvy people out there got any advice as to why it is battery draining? Just thought i would see if i could get a couple of possible solutions while they are away so that i can give them a few things to go away and get checked. Thanks heaps guys.
