B6 Passat Radio

Hi All:

I have just done a NSW country trip in my 07'Passat TDI. I tried to pick up the FM radio stations by selecting FM2 then pressing AS (auto store) to select the stations for the particular area. The radio went through and selected 6 stations, BUT, for some unknown reason, the selection had nothing to do with the region. I could not pick up anything from the selection. I had to press the < or > buttons to do a manual search.

Is there a trick?? I have re-read the book and it appears I was doing the correct procedure.
