Hi ray, overall I don't think the noise in the cabin is much louder than standard but it will drone a little if ˙ou let "labour"' in top gear around 85-90 kays but nothing I can't live with. I got it from Euro Exhaust's (Wal) He shipped from Japan (TNT)straight to my door then I got a mate with a hoist to put it on for me no cutting of pipe work it bolted straight on, price wise it was around $2,900 I think ?
I'm happy to let you have a look at if you like ?
    hope this helps, 4paw

I have the custom made exhaust from Evolve. Shoot me a PM if you want to have a listen to it as i'm in Melbourne too. I reckon it is one of the best sounding R36 exhaust in the market.

    Thanks for the offer Boys!

We should organise a catch up coffee session for the VIC boys sometime and maybe this will give a better comparison of preferred exhausts!

Seems many who go aftermarket (Arqray etc) end up going back to stock due to it being too loud.
You can get done for it.
I got done for "modification other than standard" 89 bucks. Had a middle resonator removed on a previous car. Made a bit of noise and the car looked a bit obvious. But yeah, can get done.

FWIW I have a Milltek non res on my R32. The only time it really really drones is loading it up in 4th-6th gear up hills. Yes it is loud when you want it to be, but gentle throttle can keep it very manageable.

The R36 being far more refined and the torquier 3.6 should be able to handle an arqray or supersprint and not be labelled loud or droney. Unless it's the DSG that kills it lol

I think th 3.6 sound signature is bassy and tends to drone, hell it slightly drones with the stock system! The R32's are more raspy and do not drone anywhere near as much from what people say.

I guess you can get done for something not being standard, but you'd have to be very unlucky or drawing attention to yourself for the wrong reasons. R36's look like any ordinary old wagon, I cant imagine one being singled out unless it really loud.

My car has slightly longer mufflers than the sedan, and is also an Evolve system. I know some people on here have removed theirs as they weren't happy and I believe these were mostly sedans. I still love the sound as it's nice and meaty without being too loud or droning. Getting up to 37K now and the sound has gotten slightly louder since I got it installed (at 1,100 km).

Just installed the Supersprint and went for a test drive. Sound is deeper, no drone inside. I thought it was a bit on the quiet side but my wife heard me coming us the street and said it is louder and reminds her of a skyline.. Will post some vids on YouTube in the next few days..
