Hey FSI, The only reason I wanted the Sportspack was for the seats, I asked the dealer to change to wheels to Rocco R wheels, but they declined. I will eventually change the wheels.
Do you recommend lowering the vehicle?
Wow... maybe the look isnt going to be as exclusive as it thought (particularly in the White-Wagon-Sportpacket) ... I had to fly to Melbourne to see my first other sports pack (a black wagon), seems that things are gunna change.
Funny how it appears (from your collective experience) that Customers have to go elsewhere for info on the sports pack... oh well the less people know about it the more exclusive the look...![]()

I think the Sirocco R rims are the wrong offset. I was thinking of getting those as well as they look the goods, but they are ET50 which means that they'd sit further inside the guard by 5mm. I'd rather they sat further out by 5mm! This is why I am thinking of the CC'c optional rim the Sagitta 19" which are ET41, so they will sit further out by 4mm.

Thanks.
I checked out the Sagitta, they are really nice.

I think the V6 is just right.... I have only recently come to VW, so i am not really an authority on anything, I have no idea what it will do to roll centers or geometry etc. (particularly in a multi link rear end)
Personally I am not/wouldn't. Cant even get through El Ranchos car-park without scraping the belly on the speed-humps.... I also have in-laws that live on a farm at the end of an ungraded long steep dirt & rock farm track off a long dirt lane that gets graded once a year...
At least when it all turns to mud i still have the four motion ...![]()

Picked up my MY13 Passat with Sports Pack three weeks ago and I'm just getting around to taking snapshots. How does it compare to my previous MY11 Passat? Certainly looks a lot more spiffy - love the way the white contrasts with the Vincenza alloys! My previous Passat in silver looks dull in comparison. Bigger tyres and sports suspension make for sharper handling, albeit not at any discernible loss to ride comfort. Coasting function, gearshift paddles and RVC are nifty additions, but I haven't tried the Sat-Nav yet.
Build quality seems good with only one interior rattle so far. Of course, it has to be right next to me in the driver's door just to annoy me! Gapless audio playback via iPod is still a little buggy (that occasional skip at the start of some tracks seems to plague both RCD510 and RNS510 units - methinks a switch to mp3 is in order for me). Oddly enough, one can no longer turn off the driving lights via the MFD.
Sports seats are gorgeous, but can take some getting used to as they really wrap around you and can feel a little tight. It's also a shame there's no tilt adjustment on these manual seats as a mild pressure point can build up under one's right thigh. Still finding a comfortable position, but the electric seats would have been preferable.
Would I recommend the Sports Pack? For sure! Just think about electric seats and perhaps for those that really want a fully fledged sports look, option the sunroof as well. I can live without one, but it would add to the visual aesthetic.
