    I'm up for that

It looks like it's putting out more smoke than the OEM. Has the new cat got anything to do with that?

Hi, new to the forum having just picked up a black-on-black 2009 R36.

having modified many cars before, i am looking for a slightly louder exhaust note however with the stock R36 sound character. and of course no drone.

has anyone removed the blanking plate on the passenger side muffler (as in pic below)?

it looks as though the same muffler is used on many vw cars and that they have just opted to use the one outlet for the R36, but that there is probably 2 channels in there just that one of them is blocked off.

i was thinking of having the blanking plate removed, and if it sounds good i would attach an R32-style flap to the outlet.

    thoughts?

I'd be interested to know this as well because I have my car booked in to have the two rear mufflers replaced with offset straight through mufflers for a bit more character (but hopefully no drone)
