very nice pictures congrats, are you happy with the car ?
Is this the iceland grey ? what options did u get ? how are you finding the fuel usage ? My wife was only sold cause of the auto tail gate =
Our new wheels arrived on Friday. Only just getting around to posting photos.
Quite liking the black oak brown (having not seen it in the metal before).
Very happy so far. I was thinking the auto tailgate would be annoying but it's kind-a fun to play with. Our 3yo loves it too...

Great advice thanks... Yes the auto tailgate is a great feature with the family
Nice color in the sun as well
I've been starting to see a few alltrack a around lately and I reckon my favorite two colours are the two browns. They seem to suit the 'toughened up' look well. I'm really happy I took the 'risk' on the brown as I hadn't seen it in the metal before delivery.
Fuel use is around 8-10L but mostly short city drives. It did about 6.8 on a trip to the snow fully laden with roof racks.
The only option we picked was the fancy headlight pack (which are awesome, btw). In retrospect I might have gone the big sunroof but only because we park on the street and its a pain to get bird poo off the roof paint!
I put rubber floor mats in it too.
So far, it's been a really fantastic family hauler and is surprisingly capable on rough ground.

I agree. Before delivery I was worried that I'd made the wrong choice with the Black Oak Brown, but now I'm really happy with it.
Got 8.3 on our last tank, which was city driving only.Fuel use is around 8-10L but mostly short city drives. It did about 6.8 on a trip to the snow fully laden with roof racks.
The bi-xenons are great. Very glad we go those too. Also really happy with is the adaptive cruise control. The only option we got that I probably wouldn't get again was the ParkAssist. It tends to put the back wheel up on the kerb maybe 50% of the time. The only option we picked was the fancy headlight pack (which are awesome, btw). Have you considered some sort of paint protection to help with the bird poo problem?
Yeah I like the brown as well, but went for the Iceland Grey in the end.. 8 around town is fine for such a great car...
I was thinking of getting Nanolex as my car will live on the street as well.. I got the sunroof as I have always wanted the Pana sunroof and hope it's not to much hassle to maintain..
I wish I was able to get the headlights package but I was already pushing the budget so I did not get it...
Sounds like you have been doing some miles in the car.
What roof racks did u end up getting VW or 3rd party ?
The Icelandic was my second choice as it has the least contrast with the plastic. I expect it will give a better resale too.
The headlights are really only of value if you're doing country driving. Otherwise they'd unnecessary. We have a place at lake Eucumbene in the snowies so will usually head up 5 or 6 times a year. We didn't get it until after Easter so it's only had one go so far and did a great job.
The headlights really come into their own with all the roos on those back roads.
I tend to leave my roof racks on so I went for whispbars. They're more labour intensive to put on and take off but they're the quietest on the market (might be a factor when your sunroof is open).

I should probably look at some paint protection. ESP on the roof. C
