Analogue Clock with mind of its own

I have a MY13.5 Alltrack and having trouble with the analogue clock not syncing with the other clocks. It will be fine in the morning and then later in the day it will be hours behind. You can't reset it as despite what time you put on the digital clock, it remains the same amount of time behind.

However, the next morning it rights itself. Normally this happens in the afternoon and I thought that having it parked in the sun might be frying the clocks brain, but it has happened at 8am as well. Seems to be no rhyme or reason to when and what it does. Can go days or weeks with no problem and then does it days in a row. The previous owner had the dealer look at it and typically their report back was "can't find any fault codes". I wanted to take it back in but want to know if anyone else has had this issue as well so I have a bit of ammo to fire at them. Given it generally behaves in the morning and that's when you typically drop it off to a dealer, I'm sure my dealer with come up with the same diagnosis as the other, ie. there's not apparent problem. I have lots of photos to prove it though. Couple attached.

Please let me know if you have had a similar problem and if this is indeed a know problem to VW.
