    98 Passat V6

    Hi Guys

    Found a couple of these on the weekend

    Can anyone shed some liht on what I should look 4?
    Any known problems?

    You cant go wrong if it has a service history. Not sure but I reckon they have chains not belts, I could be wrong. Looking at the motor I think you'd be able to tell.
    Should be no unusual noises from the front suspension. The front arms were prone to seizing in the UK but the better climate here should lessen the chances of that problem.

    Otherwise solid cars. I prefer the 1.8Ts myself though, you can get more performance with better economy, depending on where you drive.
