98 Passat

Hi,
I am looking at purchasing a 98' model passat. Can someone please let me know what i should inspect for when looking at this model. Also what price should I be looking at and any other suggestions.

Cam belts need changing on time, check the service history. In Europe the front suspension has problems due to corrosion from salt and water not a problem here that I have heard.

Which engine are you looking at?

You should definitely get one with a service history. There are enough about that you shouldn't compromise.
