    5 pin MAF Sensor

    Hi All
I think my MAF sensor is not working. Anyone know where I can borrow one to suit B5 1.8T to test?

    Mine is 06A 906 461 D.

It doesn't seem to make any difference when I unplug it. I'm trying to troubleshoot intermittent "misfire."

Misfires on the 1.8T are usually down to the regulator pack on the airbox. Its only small and has a plug on either side. Cant remember its propper name but it sends the signal to the ignition coil....i can remember they are very expensive.....VDUB....

Yeah, I was going to test that next. At the moment I did a scan and got 0v, 0g/s on MAF. I'm running with the MAF unplugged at the moment to see if the misfire comes back.

I have bought Bosch ones out of the sates for under $100. They are ludicrous money from VW though.

Well for the past few weeks I have been running with MAF unplugged and had no shuddering, but about 15% worse fuel economy.
I just received my MAF yesterday from China for $25 + $5 postage. Plugged her in and now I have a MAF signal when I log.
I need to take her for a run so that I can be sure the shudder stays gone.
