    3 Year Service

Hi lads, hate to spam you all with another thread but was after some help for my upcoming 3 year service. Tried looking through my service schedule and documentation but couldn't find exactly what is required to be done to the car for this service?

Also, I am ridiculously under the 45k range - just ticked over 32,000 the other day. With scenarios like this, would the dealer still enforce that the full 3 year is required? My 2 year the air filter insert was changed and so was the brake fluid.

For example, I am pretty sure the Haldex filter is due to be changed on the 3rd year but due to the low km's, is it necessary? etc etc

    Cheers guys

    Every 15 000 km or 12 months:
    Oil
    Oil filter

    Every 60 000 km or 48 months:
    Fuel filter
    Spark plugs

    Distance dependent only items:

    Air filter - every 45 000 km
DSG fluid and filter - every 60 000 km
Haldex fluid (vehicles up to and including MY09) - every 60 000 km

    Time dependent only items:

Pollen filter - every 24 months
Brake fluid - every 24 months
Haldex fluid (vehicles from MY10 onwards) - every 36 months

They should carry out the 45 000 km / 36 month service as required, but you should only be charged for the following consumables:

    Oil
    Oil filter
Haldex fluid (vehicles from MY10 onwards)

The air filter can wait until you reach 45 000 km.

Yes, since that's what the service schedule states (for vehicles from MY10 onwards). There is no distance interval.

Thanks Diesel - now in the midst of finding out where exactly I can take the car for its service. Swann has some ambiguous phrase in their PDS for the extended warranty in relation to where the car can actually be serviced

All vehicle servicing should be carried out by the selling dealer or an Authorised service facility holding a franchise for vehicles of the same make as your vehicle
