3 car seats in an MY13 passat wagon?

    Hi All,

We are expecting number 3 and it suddenly dawned on me....how are we going to get three car seats in the passat!!! The ages will be just over 3, 19 months and a newborn so they will all need to be in carseats not boosters. Wondering what others have done before in this case...really don't want to change the car!!!!!!!

    Thanks

Thanks Eaglehawk, yes I did see that post but unfortunately in all of the responses that I saw (I may have missed one) at least one of the kids was over 4. If a child is over 4 then they can go in a booster....you can get much narrower boosters than car seats. My question is whether anyone has managed to get three carseats in when all the kids are under 4 and can't be in boosters

Honestly, the only sure solution is to rock up to a baby shop, and ask them to bring out an extra seat to fit into the car. Otherwise it's going to be a very expensive exercise replacing the car instead of just finding the right sized baby seat and/or arrangement.

I've been lots of families with 3 at the back in cars smaller than our Passat, so surely it's just finding the right brand/mode/arrangement.

Let me know how you go mate, I'll be in the same boat within the year and was hoping to keep a Passat as the family car!
