Over the weekend the Tyre pressure warning light lit up on my 2007 TDI Passat sedan. According to the manual it means "Tire pressure low or system failure". As I my vehicle doesn't have tyre pressure monitoring (at least I don't think so), what does this warning mean? I swapped the spare onto the vehicle the day before the light came on, as I was repairing a scratch in the alloys. After the light came on I checked tyre pressures, and all fine. Any ideas. The symbol looks like a flat tyre with an exlamation mark (!) in the middle. Thanks in anticipation. Daniel
It sounds like it has the system that works with the ABS system and measures the diameter etc of the tyre. This is standard on some later models and when you change a tyre it has to learn the new one Read the manual and it will tell you about it.
Does it have a button which looks like a cross section of a tyre with an exclamation mark down by the shifter If so thats what it has If not Cant help you.
