Looks like I got lucky with my upgrade to 130KW at no extra cost
Also no lag on autostart and park brake button works a treat.
Apart from firm ride and a few thumping noisesfrom the rear, Love it, Very happy.

if one were to obtain a replacement ECU, would you get 130kw?
just a thought experiment. I'm trying to guess if the change was purely to the engine tune.
I looked around at the current state of TDI tuning and wasn't impressed.
I've gone down the track of a tune before (GIAC) and the car didn't feel right, although that was with a completely different car I feel that many customers are not sensitive to much other than their desire to increase the shove in their back, so they praise the tune when in fact they did lose a little bit of something else to get it.
I see places selling old Passat TDI ecus (OEM) for 145 pounds. If the 130kw ECU ends up being a part you can buy in future, i'd SO much rather buy that then spend 1000 dollars plus labor for a possibly dodgy tune that VW might point at if something internal snaps.
perhaps someone with a 130kw example can read a part number off the ECU it might be interesting to price it either now or in future.
