I think he means all the miscellaneous stuff at the end of the service invoice like the environmental waste disposal charge for the old oil, workshop consumables, gaskets etc.

Just to update this thread;

Got my 15,000k service last Fri and costs me $360/-. They gave me the latest Golf TDI as a loan car.
Mine's a 09' R36.

I think reading this thread cost me around $120 in time lol...

I paid $280 for my first service on my CC, however I did the oil change at 6 months not the recommended 12 months (I like to keep my cars well maintained). Barloworld Mascot if you are wondering.

I cannot find my invoice for the 12 months service though at the moment but I think it was a little more.

I always like to service my cars at the dealer. Even if it costs a little extra, buyers love to see all the dealer stamps on the log book. Worth a lot more than $100 or so in extra servicing imho. However if I were to keep the car for longer than the warranty period, I would possibly look at other service outlets if VW started to charge exorbitantly.
