118 TSI Oil Consumption

What is considered 'normal' oil consumption between services with these engines?!

Reason I ask is I have added 700ml of oil since its last service 3500 kms (and just over 2 months) ago.
Car has just over 27k kms on it to date...

MY 11 118 TSI Passat, built Nov 2010.

Interestingly, the car was bought as an ex-demo with 9k on it, with it's 2 year service at 24k which was 2 months ago.
During that entire period, car only used 900ml of oil.

Should I be concerned with its sudden thirst for oil?!?

My 1.8tsi uses no oil between services. Now at 113,000km.

did you check the oil level after the last service or are you assuming they filled it to the mark?

I checked after the service was performed, at it was filled to the mark.
It has been checked & filled at few times since the serivce in late Feb, but I am just surprised that the 1L bottle I bought for top-up is fast approaching empty again so soon, with 11.5k to its next service!
