I am sure than I have the newer camera as Fusion mode is not even available to adjust in OBD11 via the app. I do find this it is strange that the same model car in US and EURO seems to work?

The reason fusion mode doesnt work here is because the maps are different and dont have the info required for it to work Also our maps supposedly dont have a database of speed signs and yet in my Tig it used to change speeds at places that had historic speed signs before roads were improved and the speed restriction was removed.

Eg if I go up from my house via one road and turn left onto another road it changes to the old speed of 60kph If I turn right and drive a k up there and do a U turn and come back it sees the new sign and gives the current limit which is 10 above the old one. Does that on the highway as well where it used to be 70 and is now 100. Weird but thats how it is.

Hello troops, just back in the VW world, having just bought a new old stock 2023 T Roc R here in Perth. Are there are any known OBD specialists here in Perth, that i can go and natter to, for things like the speed limit sign thing above? My Focus ST had that set up as std and is one thing i would like to have back on the dash asap, as well as just generally finding out what is hidden and what can be changed.

The Australian spec 2023 T-Roc R comes with the 2Q camera (A5 Drivers assistance), not the 3Q version.
This camera is not capable to activate traffic sign recognition with OBD11 or VCDS.

Start/stop deactivation is not possible via coding, you need a physical bypass module.

You cannot fit a physical bypass module to any T-Roc MY23 onwards. The button for Stop/Start is now part of a combo switch and there is only 1 plug for 4 buttons behind it. I have tried ....

There are however, 2 other ways of disabling it. The 1st is physical (works and I have tested/used it), simply unplug the battery voltage monitor plug from the battery and stop/start is permanently disabled.

Or put a Racingline OEM+ tune on the car ... SS is disabled by default and you have to press the button to enable it. I may have tested this 1 too

The remove the battery monitor also stops the car from charging properly as the brain then cant see the state of charge and adjust it to suit. Has been said from way back not to do this. However others have different views on whether to do it or not. I wouldnt .
