    MY23 T-ROC Trip Meter missing?

Hi Folks, I'm kinda embarrassed I didn't notice this earlier. The T-ROC I bought for the missus doesn't seem to have a trip meter that you can reset? I get it that it tracks distance travelled/duration per drive but what I am looking for is the trip meter which doesn't reset after every drive. I'd really like to calculate how far I can go for every full tank of petrol.

I checked all the settings and the UI doesn't have any settings to enable it. My Golf has a physical button in front of the dashboard to reset the trip meter but the T-ROC does not.

The T-ROC is a MY23 Style with the only additional option being the electric tailgate.

You should be able to use the button on the steering wheel to reset it. In the driving data menu on the digital dash, scroll down using the buttons on the righthand side of the steering wheel until you get to the trip item, and then press and hold the OK (or equivalent) button to reset the trip meter.

It caught me out too on our T-Roc R (and my daughters T-Roc Style).

BTW: How good a car is that T-Roc Style!!!! OK engine, really nice gearbox, decent interior space. Best value VW on the market IMO.

Thanks Sharkie. With this, where does the trip info appear on the dashboard? I'll try to capture a few photos tonight if I can't get it resolved. The only distance indicator I have on the dash is the odometer.

Yes, love the car. I'm actually quite surprised by the punch it has. Interior especially the door frames seem a lot more solid when compared to my Golf. My door creaks when I lean my elbow on the frame when I drive lol

Not at all but whats the difference taking readings off the running total on the ODO to as he says the running total on a trip meter as my trip meter just keeps on after every trip It doesnt go back to zero when restarting the car as I used to annoy myself when wanting to do the same and always forgot to reset it

Its a feature that every car should have and it should be very easy to use. Yes of course you could use a pen and paper (or use your phone to take a photo) of the odometer to do what you say - but frankly that seems quite ridiculous when this feature should be easily accessible and easy to use. I use it on my cars all the time to keep a general eye on fuel consumption so that I can hopefully notice if something starts playing up and fuel consumption increases noticeably....something that would be harder to do without a tripmeter.

Other people may use it to calculate how far they drive in a day or week, or how far it is to drive to a friends house that is some distance away etc etc.

^This. It is a standard feature on all the cars I have driven in my decades of driving. The problem is I cannot find a way to turn it ON. It has the Odometer that tracks the lifetime distance the car has travelled but I cannot for the life of me find the option to turn on the trip meter let alone a 'reset' button for it.

The Dashboard does have a distance travelled and 'total travel time' metric that resets itself every time you turn off the ignition.

@Hillbilly -I understand your point about the pen and paper and what not but the fact of the matter is, it is usually a standard feature and people take it for granted that it is there. I paid a lot more for this car than my 2010 corolla and it has it. I can't for the life of me find this feature on a 2023 modern VW. Will check back with photos when I can.
