    Front brake Rotor 2023 R

    I just discovered that my vehicle has 2 piece rotors on the front, during my attempt to find the correct Brembo pads to use to replace the OEM ones.

    There are two listings for the NAO Ceramics which are shown for different PR codes, but I don't know my PR code as there is no sticker that I can find.

    Fronts are P85131N and/or P85144N

    Rears are P85124N

    Any help appreciated.

    Probably easier to just buy both brake pad options and then return the incorrect one. Or remove one of your current pads to measure size and shape (take photos and perhaps trace shape onto a piece of paper) and then compare to the images that Brembo will have on their website.

    Looking at the PR codes for my T-Roc R it list:
    1LQ disc brakes front
    2EF disc brakes rear

    1LQ = 340mm Dia x 30mm width ventilated discs
    2EF = 310mm Dia x 22mm width ventilated discs

    OEM brakes pads are listed as:
    Front - 5Q0698151AG
    Rear - 5Q0698451AC

    Good idea. I was planning on taking one off to check the OEM part and the sizes, because there's some scarcity of T-ROC listings anywhere on the web, and what is there isn't always consistent. The Bendix AU website thinks my R is a 140 TSI.......

    The Brembo website tech listing shows the 131N to be 175.1 wide, 69.7 tall, and 19.8mm thick. The 144N is 174.9 wide, 69.3 tall, and 20mm thick.

    When I use the compare feature, they show as identical.

    Thanks for that info. Does your R have the two piece rotors on the front? I'm wondering if that's an update from earlier ones. As per my reply to Lucas, I will remove one and check to see if they are 340mm and what the OEM pads are. It's the only way to be 100% sure.

    If you look at those measurements, they are literally less than mm different from each other. Likely that both will fit, but one will be a better fit into the caliper no doubt. Also probably why both images look identical - because they essentially are.

    Being the impatient sort of bloke (sometimes ) I have ordered the P85131N from Amazon, will arrive tomorrow, just under $100. Easy to return with Prime if they aren't right. I ordered the P85124N from Rolan on E-Bay should be here by Friday.

    I will note the OEM part numbers of the Rotors and Pads to see if they match the ones above.

    I changed some fronts on a Golf Grid R 7.5, I think this is similar to the T-ROC R.
    Put Bendix Ultimate+ on it, they are ceramic to, however the owner didn't like the pedal feel. I did buy some semi metallics to replace them with. On the pretext that I knew he was selling it and they would hopefully fit my T-ROC anyway, if he sold it before I replaced them.
    I did pick up 2 semi metallic pads and they have different amounts of pad material on them. Not height ie 7mm or whatever it is, just the swept area is different on both.
    Good on you, for the topic, I like reading about brakes. I find if you do a bit of research and are prepared to do it yourself, you can save yourself a lot of $$$.
    Also thanks for the OEM part numbers.

    Are the fronts really 2 piece discs? I do have them on a non-VW vehicle and they don't look the same?

    Yes, two piece. Most stuff I've read points to them being the Golf 7.5 R brakes, but I don't think the rotors are two piece on them. I put MK7.5 R Brembo rotors and pads on my daughter's Tigyan R-Line 162TSI and they were solid.

    On the Golf R Grid 7.5 I replaced they were one piece. 340mm DBA42830S was used.
