Might be worth going to check out a Cupra Ateca if that floats your boat too. 3% finance offer, along with 3 years service package included and first 3 months finance payments on them.
    Cheers

Nice work! I tried a few other dealers at that price and they said “no way”. I wanted a red or silver, which Melbourne City VW didn’t have, but I wasn’t gonna pay extra for it. The grey is awesome anyway Considering a TROC R or a TROC R LINE

What colour did you get, Thelodger? Enjoying it so far?

It just had to be Lapiz Blue....I've had a Rex in WR Blue so its like the traditional/"hero" color for the particular car. Having said that I came from an I30n in Dark Knight instead of the Performance Blue that was the "hero" color.
As for the T Roc I'm still finding my way around after a long line of manual cars this is totally different and taking some getting used to.
It has some pretty neat party tricks and is so much smoother and I think more refined that I30n.....fun but bloody sketchy front wheel drive with a shed load of power but no real way of putting it down on the road. Loud blustery and violent if driven hard but also a stupid amount of fun.....think spider with olive oil on its feet on an ice rink. "Pebbles" has slowed me down a bit but when I want aggressive it has it in spades...just ask Colin the sales dude at VW in Ferntree Gully...poor bugger

Just about to join the R club.
Dealer demo lapiz blue, roof and black style pack. Drive away deals under $65000 but manage to drop $4k off that and 3 years service pack included.

Was looking at another R-Line but incoming stock limited on the next shipment so would have to wait into June/July.

Great price. Now is the time to buy an R, while they have a lot of stock.

She who must be obeyed has let me prepare her R after the poor dealer delivery job.
Interior fully cleaned, seats feed and treated, carpets and plastics treated.
Paint 2 stage corrected, Gyeon pure paint protection, glass, wheels and exterior plastics ceramic treated.
    Rubbers conditioned.
Got rid of the tacky looking "C" pillar decal.
    Dash cameras fitted.
    OBDEleven coding.
    Now looking like it should.

Start from the lower inside corner nearest to the passenger doors.
I used my thumb nail to lift a small section up to allow me to grip the decal and it was able to slowly peel away.
If you encounter any sticking use some WD40 and spray under the decal.
When you get to the upper chrome/black C pillar strip the wrap is tucked under the rubber seal of that strip. You need to carefully pull it out .
I didn't need a heat gun or have the car sit in the sun. No need for fishing line either. If the vinyl starts to tear slow down but keep a good grip and it should come away.

There was some minor adhesive residue left over which came off with a strong APC.

While not a fan of VW's attempt at wrapping (they leave part of the base paint colour on the pillar pillar visible on the door closure line), with the "black pack" i really don't like the way that blue c pillar pokes up into the otherwise all black section.

However, as long as you love it, that's all that matters
    Cheers
