2021 Volkswagen T-Roc Review by Matt Brand Cars (Me!)

G'day everyone, my name is Matt and I review cars here in Aus!

Volkswagen recently gave me a 2021 T-Roc which I loved, and I thought you guys as owners and enthusiasts would enjoy it most!

I'm pretty damn jealous of you owners! Wish I got more time with it

Hey Matt thanks for posting your review. I took a T-Roc for a test drive the other week and much like you I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face. It’s just such a good car to drive.

I think the cabin materials could do with a bit of an upgrade - especially in a $50k car it’s probably the only area that lets it down. Though I’d take the ride and handling any day over better materials so I guess it depends what’s most important to the buyer.

I haven’t driven anything else in its class so would be really interested in a comparison review against the other class leaders CX-30, etc. Though I think Is find them a little underwhelming coming from the T-Roc.

I think you'd be more accurate in saying this is a bigger Polo GTI, than Golf. It's not based on the Golf, look at the interior and seats.

T-Cross is Polo based. T-Roc is Golf based.

The engine in the T-Toc is closest to the Polo GTI.

Ok, so the T-Cross is very literally Polo based, platform and interior and engines.

Then the T-Roc is based on the Golf platform, but how would anybody tell as it has the Polo GTI interior and engine, nothing visually or performance wise from the Golf GTI, so.......

Looking again, it even has the door cards from the Polo.....

    Thanks for the review.

It helped with my decision to purchase a T-Roc.
