WTB. Reverse switch for MK4 AGU 1.8T

    Hi guys,
I need the reverse switch that screws into the gearbox for my mk4, AGU 1.8T

Dont mind if it's second hand, as long as it works (makes the white reverse lights come on)

They look like this and would rather not get one posted from the UK:

So buy one locally from the likes of Imparts, or HSY?

    Yeah, it's pretty crazy.

But not as crazy as waiting 6 weeks for something from overseas, just to save maybe 5%.

just exploring my options guys, I was simply seeing if there was someone who might have one in the shed that I could get quickly vs paying mega bucks at the dealer or waiting for weeks from ebay. Looks like I'll simply go to the dealer to get it done quickly.

And Stanton, OEM is sometimes highly over rated and expensive and there are plenty of good quality alternatives out there. Thanks for your comment

HSY gave me a lot of grief last time I tried to buy retail. Tooleys is more approachable.

Anyway, I've got one of those reverse switches, it's brand new, never been installed. $20 posted.

Depends how you approach them in most cases. Make it clear who you are, what you want, and have your VIN at the ready.

Also, don't expect freight or trade prices if you're clearly not a trade customer.

I have no dramas at all with Imparts and HSY, but Tooleys do get up my nose from time to time.
