    WTB: MK1 Golf Fuse & Relay Panel/Box

    Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a Fuse/Relay Panel for a MK1 Golf part no 171 941 813A. Actually it's for the 924 but it's the same part. Needs to be the "A" part.

Don't mind something that needs a bit of work.

If you don't have one but know where I can get one I'd appreciate any tips (vwheritage is at least a 3 week delay + shipping time).

    Thanks,

    Peter.

I'm wrecking a 93 Cabriolet - I'll see if I have that part for you.

Was it a blade fused box or the old school barrells?

The original part with the old-school fuses.

Might see if there's a way to "easily" convert to blade fuses. Perhaps there's a solder-in blade holder out there somewhere.

    Thanks for the idea.

I doubt it'll be easy, the plugs on the back are very different. Although, if you could be bothered, it'd be a fair bit more reliable I'd assume. The Early GTIs I had all had a recall done to provide an extra relay for the fuel pump, to stop them burning out the fusebox.

You're probably right about it not being easy. A quick search of the interwebs shows a lot of people who think it would be a great idea to covert to blades but nobody selling adapters. Might be a market there.

When the fusebox arrives I'll strip it down and check the internal wiring and see if any ideas appear about the fuses.

Would be good to convert to blade fuses. The 924 has gone dark or died a couple of times because the headlight or fuel pump fuse has slipped out of the holder.
