Towbar for MK2 Golf

I have this one. Cost about $170 including shipping from Germany. But only work for small bumper mk2.

Back in the day I got a towbar for my 1988 South African import Mk2 16v GTi from the local towbar shop Jack Beedhams I think it was, at Redcliffe. He never told me whether it was an actual Mk 2 towbar. He just said to me that they would work something out. I always suspected that they just used a Mark 3 towbar and perhaps had to modify it a bit, perhaps not. Don’t know if this helps. Oh and by the way mine was a small bumper but I put the big bumpers on it with no drama.
