MKIV/MK4 Bora / Golf Leather Seat(s) - must have airbags. Beige colour preferred.

    Hi all,

The base of my drivers seat in my Bora 4mo has a tear in it and has failed a roadworthy check due to it. My seat is beige in colour and has side airbags.

    So i'm looking for either:

    a) Full replacement Beige Leather Drivers seat in good condition - no serious cracks and no tears. Needs to have side airbags.

    b) A seat from which I can extract the base section of leather to use to repair my current one.

    c) Potentially full set of black leather seats for a reasonable price.

Let us know what you have

    Cheers!

I've only had two. First mechanic wouldn't pass the coils so needed to use anouther who went pretty ape**** on the car >.> (mate of mine too Dammit)

Not a bad idea actually- I don't think you need matching seats to pass.
Did other MK4's come with side airbags?

Maybe I'll change the title to "lend us a mk4 driver seat for a few weeks" Lol

Pretty much all bar early/poverty pack golfs.
My early 2lt seats had them.
Depending where the hole is you can always just patch it, believe that makes it legal again? Probably worth doing to stop it getting any worse anyway

Cool. I might take visit to some local wreckers and see what I can find then. I've contacted dismantellers but boy do they know how to charge. Can't get a set of cloth seats for under $700.

Yeah I've called a reupholsterer about the section and it'd cost around $300 for a 30cm x 20cm patch to be replaced - and that's with me providing the seat and them using offcuts. I was hoping to buy a replacement seat for less than that! If it wasn't leather I sow it up myself but with leather once it's torn - it's gone. I'd need to buy a new piece. And being beige makes it hard as hell to find >.>
