how much you willing to pay and what size brakes are you running? Have plenty of genuine VW alloys available in WA.
Hi All, I'm looking for a set of wheels and tires for my Mk1 to get it through a roadworthy before I put the wide ones back on.
Any leads?

Hi I'm looking for a set of cheap wheels for my Mk1 to get it through a roadworthy. Only need em for 30 days to keep the fun police happy, then I can put my wide ones back on!
Any leads?
Cheers all!
WA seems a bit far from me - shipping costs would be huge to melbourne right? I want to pay as little as possible seeing I'm only gonna use them for 30 days! Last quote I had was 400 for a nice second hand set.
Just jump on fleabay and gumtree.
Doesn't need to be anything flash
Local wreckers should have something. You want 4 stud Honda, VW, old Toyota etc wheels. Take a ruler with you, you want 100mm diagonally from hole to hole to suit your car. 14 or 15 inch rims will be perfect and make sure you get them with matching tyres.
Or hassle all the MK1, MK2 and MK3 owners in Melbourne if you only want to borrow them for rego.
Cheers
Paul

Thanks Paul! I think I have a lead on a temp swap! Can't wait to have it back on the road!
I can provide if the swap falls through. They're the same wheels that got me through rego and roadworthy
