The eggs are hard to get but not impossible, proportioning valves are a bit harder to find.

I'm fitting rear discs to my MK1 either from my wrecked MK2 GTI or off a Seat Cupra. Whichever way I go it will leave a spare valve for sale.

I've also got an adjustable aftermarket proportioning valve I might play with. If it works then you've got a choice of valves on offer.

    Cheers

Part you need is 533 612 151A (pressure sensitive brake pressure regulator ) VW classic parts have done a few new production runs of these however they are once again nil stock ( think each was around 125 Euro ) If you manage to find used units I would seriously consider having them rebuilt as they certainly gum and rust up if brake fluid has not been changed regularly.

The number on the barrel will read 3 - 15 for the correct units ( 16 Valve Scirocco 2 only ) Units with 3 - 35 are for the drum brake cars only.( find them on cabriolets up to 93 )

The Mk2 unit is completely different than what you want for a bolt in item for the Mk1 ( load sensing ) it would need the anchor plate welded to the car body as well as a lot of different piping.

PM me if you cant find any and you seriously want rear discs... ( which btw are a heavier set up using standard VW components )
    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

    Cheers,
    Grant...

Still available as a Lotus part too.

Check out this old thread where we've discussed this before.
