    There's only so many bearing manufacturers in the world.

    The part number is the same for both, except for the later one having the A suffix.

    Any Dayco timing belt kit for mk1 mk2 has manual tensioner KT70. It should fit your engine. You can also check it at the Bursons before you buy it. Easy enough when you have the sample with you. As for stud, I’m sure that can be also sourced locally, if it’s not included in the Dayco kit.

    yep Burson had the dayco KT70 tensioner for 45 bucks so I grabbed it. They didn't carry the stud, washer and nut though so its just fingers crossed that the 8mm stud in my BJX head will be the right length.
    I have the IE spacer that is meant to prevent the tensioner crushing when its torqued up which I guess will take up a bit more length on the 8mm stud.....we'll see I guess.
