Intake manifold for 2 litre 16v

I've got a 2.0 16v that I need to complete before I can put it into my MK2.

I need an intake manifold to suit my 9a motor but I think one from a KR will also fit - correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm after torque over horsepower so is the 42mm manifold a better option over the 50mm manifold?

Anyone know if I need any more bits for the conversion?

    Cheers

    Paul

I've got a SEAT one off an ABF. 50mm I think.

Upper and lower pieces $150 plus postage.

Might not suit if you're staying K-Jet though. I'm not sure if the K-Jet injectors can be made to work in an EFI manifold.

I don't have the ABF fuel rail but I know someone who might.

You'll need the throttle body too,and lots of Kjet stuff.
    Be easier to carb it.

Looks like I need the manifold off a KR engine, ABF one won't suit so I'm going to see Matt at Camden GTI for some bits.

Twin webbers would be awesome and easy to maintain but I do too many ks per week and need to keep the petrol costs down. I'm already running K-jet so I'm hoping I don't have to get too much stuff. The picture above is of the MK1 where I got the motor.

seeing your going into a Mk2 you will need the drivers side throttle body manifold, I have 2 x Scirocco 16V manifolds and may have a Mk2 top section, will take a gander in the workshop manifold box tomorrow and let you know.

I do have the lower section for sure I know.
    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

    OK,
Only got the lower section left, prob chucked the top part out as I dont use them ( kept it for mounting bike injection to )

As for swapping a Scirocco inlet that'll be a negatory, these things cost about 5 x their weight of gold when you can find someone who will do the shipping for you.

I can ask around O/S for you but you will need to give me an idea of your budget ...

You should have said I have 2 Scirocco manifolds but they are not available.I've got lots of stuff too that I'm keeping.lol
I don't need or want one it would get thrown in the corner with the rest of the 16v stuff.
Thanks for the offer to find one though.

I'll put my request on hold, might be going down the twin webber path.

    Cheers
